OT- I get to go to the SHOT Show. Wooo Hooo

Post by jengel »

I was up in Atwood today to see my new employers and do some ordering. They asked me what I was doing the first weekend in February. In my mind, I was saying SHOT Show!! SHOT Show!! but I told him that I was going to be working full time for him. He asked if I wanted to go to Vegas to the SHOT Show. I just about fell over. It will be myself and one of the owners that will fly in Friday and back home on Monday. I can't believe it.

Who else is going?

It is really neat. I will be ordering about (or at least) $100,000 worth of stuff just for stock. I go back monday to place a Benelli order of over $30,000. I have to order some Uberti stuff too. Tonight I will be doing some product research on the internet. It's a tough job.

There is a down side though. I won't have any used guns for sale. I know that there is some good stuff out there that will come in for trade. Can't wait to see what comes along.

As long as they dont allow resale of used guns over the counter, it may give you some good opportunities for personal bargins on the side. Provided the owners do not deem it a conflict of interest!

Does your shop plan on selling any American (USA) brand guns?

Good luck in Vegas but remember not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas despite what the ads say. :) Keep one hand on your wallet and stay away from the slots. They will take your money in a hurry.

Yes, I will be stocking mostly US built guns. The Benelli family of guns are very popular around here and the boss wants to keep the line in town.
