Now THAT would be SO COOL!! I'd shoot silhouette with one barrel then the next match with another barrel!!!
I love the rifle version of the 1894 a lot better than the carbine versions for some reason. You are absolutely correct in the drool factor warning for this set, even for us Marlin guys!!!
WOW, 38-55 and 30-30, full tube, short tube. VERY NICE. What other calibers could it have been made in with out having any other changes except the barrel. I understand the pistol cartidges would not work well, but what others could use the same action/innards as this rifle??? Was just thinking If I had four barrels, I would go for different calibers before repeating them with different configs but I certainly see the beauty of the choices he had with this set up. Just wondering
as a side note, I wonder if WWG could do a longer barrel/mag for my co-pilot and give me a two barrel set in 457 mag/45-70?

Seriously, I don't ever want a rifle or set that costs that much. I counldn't bring myself to take it out to shoot.
Perhaps the owner has so much money that $75K is peanuts...
And I agree about the chamberings - I'd want four different chamberings - add 25-35 in place of one of the 30-30's and maybe 32-40 or 32 Special in place of one of the 38-55's.
I once won a consequetive serial numbered pair of SAAs in .44-40 w/5-½" barrels in an oak & glass case; fully engraved, silver plated except the BS, triggerguard, basepin & ejector rod housing, which were all 18k gold plated. Ruined with poly-ivory grips... but whaddya want for a $5 raffle ticket! Still, I never shot them and after collecting dust in my safe for two years I converted then into a complete CAS outfit for my son. In fact I never even cocked them, who knows, they mighta had serious timing issues!
My dream Win94 would be a RD w/barrels in .25-35, .30WCF, .32-40 & .38-55, maybe even throw on a 32WinSpl. During their early production different guides were used except for .30WCF & .38-55, but IIRC this changed in the '30's.

There is a fine line between hobby & obsession! AND... I'm over it!!
No I ain't ready, but let's do it anyway!
If Turnbull wants approx. US $800.00 just for the conversion work & you add in the cost of the rifle, plus another barrel(s), fore ends, sights, etc., it could add up fast. & most Shooters aren’t willing to pay, or can’t justify paying, or simply will not or can not “pay the freight” for a takedown....
& this is probably the same reason(s) why Winchester, Marlin, etc., do not make take down models.
The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

Rangerider,
None were ever factory made. I have seen a few custom ones over the years.------Sixgun
