weight of 1886 carbine

Hi Guys,
It has been so long since i have posted i had to reregister lol sorry. anyway, can't stand it anymore have to have an 1886 45-70. Does anyone know the weight on these?

I can't tell you the exact weight, but I had one in my left hand at the same time my 1886EL was in my right hand, and they felt like they were about the same weight - and my EL weighed 7 1/2lbs.

My 22" 1886 EL from the factory weighed 7 lbs 7 oz. I added a few things (recoil pad, new sights, scope mount) and it ended up 8 lbs.

My Browning SRC with a Redfield receiver sight weighs 8.0 lbs. My 33 wcf lightweight is 8.1 lbs.

I weigh all of my rifles as soon as I get them, mainly out of curiosity. The factory specs are usually a bit optimistic, as with anything.

My Browning '86 carbine weighs 8 lb, 1.2 oz. with barrel sight removed, dovetail filler installed and Marble's tang sight added.
