Some nice ones got left out, but here are the "sell last" levers in my safe:
Marlin 39A
Winchester Trapper 44 mag
Winchester 71
Winchester 1886 45-70

It's hard not to include a spitzer shooter in the top four, ala Win 1895, BLR, Win 88, or Savage 99. My fifth would certainly be in that category. For now the 348 shoots about as far as anyone can see with open sights (scopes are for bolt guns ).

Marlin 39A - 22LR - for small critters and plinking fun.
Winchester Model 94 - 30/30 (Pre-64) - for "long range" medium game.
Marlin 336C - 35 Remington - for shorter range medium game.
Marlin 1894 Cowboy - 44 Mag. (re-barreled to 1 in 20" twist) - heavy loads for big game and protection in the field and standard loads for protection at home.

Add a Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 Mag. - for fun and personal defense and added security in the field.
And an AyA SxS 12 gauge - for birds and small game and fun and home security.
Now that would be a pretty nice battery!

What kind of troubled mind puts limits on having only four lever guns. That is akin to limiting oneself to having only one shoe. Oh well, here goes:

1894 Marlin in .44 Rem. Mag. (1892 Winchester for those who must).
Savage 99 in .308 Win. (BLR for the post modernist).
1895 Marlin in .45-70 Govt.
1895 Winchester in .35 Whelen.

I've got three down, yet one to go (.35 Whelen) on this list. Four legendary rounds in four legendary platforms. The 1895 Winchester in .35 Whelen seems, to me at least, the ideal platform for both the cartridge and the rifle. If anyone has an 1895 Winchester in .35 Whelen, I would like to hear your feedback on it.

H_Talon, you are a man after my own heart. Please, post to let us know when you get, and test, your .358 Hawk! I have seriously contemplated this set-up for myself, but have ruled it out in favour of the Whelen for the sake of convenience. Your anticipation must be intense.

"Puzzle One- 94 Winchester trapper in .38-55 (post-64 top eject)"

I didn't know they made a Trapper in 38-55 ..... I want one.

Marlin 39 ...22LR. Don't know the year, Serial # AA888x
Win 94 ...30-30. Don't know the year either. Serial #360283x
Bullard 40-75-260 (40-65 Win clone) (1882 probably) ............. I'm surprised nobody else mentioned a 40-65, they were quite an
Elk rifle in their day.
Ruger #1 ... 338 mag. (1976) I'll probably get booted off the forum for this one.

Now I am down to four, so they will have to do - 39 TDS in .22, puma 92 in .357, win src in 30-30 and WWG co-pilot (marling 1895) in .457 mag/45-70. Wish the .357 and 30-30 were takedowns.

I was just listening to a radio show about Bigfoot sightings and I think you guys up north might want to revise your choices.

What's a .457 mag...? A shortened .45-70? Sounds fun...
