OT--Trijicon Night Sights

Post by getitdone1 »

Just bought Trijicon Night Sights for my Glock 19.

For some time now it's appeared to me they put-out quality products.

Anyone here use them?

I have them on 4 of my pistols, 3 9mm and one .45. I would not have a self defense pistol for dimlight without 'em. I relied on them for nearly 20 years in law enforcement. In my retirement, my m92 Beretta that I had Clements install them on goes with me everywhere. In my house, lit by the night lights my wife puts out, it is VERY easy to line up the green dots for a shot, should the need arise. Do not expose them to solvents, as they can rot the O-rings that hold them in place on the sight.
Confederately yours,

I've had a set of them on my carry gun for the last 8-9 years. They're still doing just fine. Good sights.

Didn't really think I would ever have them, figured if it's too dark to see what you are shooting better not to shoot, so you don't hit your wife or someone you don't want to hit. Then 86er sold a pair to me at a nice deal and I had them put on my G19...and now I really like them.

Ysabel Kid,

I read where they must be installed by a gunsmith in order to qualify for the 12 year warranty.

Did you install yours, yourself?

Bought mine for 66 bucks. They (CDNN) said 99 was MSRP.

I've got a Glock 19 with night sights, and I think they're awesome. You can't go wrong with that combo. Load it up with 15+1 of your favorite hollowpoint ammo and you're good to go!

Most likely because they figger a 'smith'll use proper installation tools, 'steada beating them in with a drift & damaging the tritium vial/container.

BTW - My avatar is a sight pic through my Trijcon Safari scope, which (besides the fiber-optic lit post tip) has a tritum reticle, too.

Don,

I had a set put on my XD9 by a gunsmith and recommend doing so for the warranty. At night when I lay down I can see my pistols sights and its comforting. And I keep it put in a place that makes it very hard to see unless your laying where I lay at night, so no one else sees it. I picked mine up for $68 on sale at www.midwayusa.com
