Urgent Prayer Request for Mrs. Ranch Dog UPDATE

Post by TedH »

I would like to ask you all to please pray for Ranch Dog's wife, Dianna. She has been diagnosed with Primary Angitis CNS Vasculitis. It's a very serious and often fatal conditon within just a matter of weeks. Michael said that they caught it early and are treating it aggressively, but I know he would appreciate all the help we can muster. I had the privilage of meeting her this past spring. She's a firecracker and I know will give it all she has to come back from this.

My wife the nurse had to go look this up when I asked her about it as she'd never heard of it before. You're right, it doesn't look good. There have only been 100 cases of this since 1956 according to what she found. Most have been men. Treatment has gotten better over the years but it's still no sure thing.

Prayers sent.

Greetings fellows and thank you for the prayers, they are appreciated. I've been trying to post a followup but was having trouble with my broadband card and the hospital's wireless would not connect with this or any other forum that is based on firearms or hunting (I would hate this topic to be redirected to that subject).

A week ago Dianna was diagnosed with Primary Angitis CNS Vasculitis. Of all the things that we were fretting over, this was one that we hadn't considered or heard of but unfortunately it is a condition that usually proves to be fatal by the time it has reached a point that it can be diagnosed. With this diagnosis, the doctors let me know that Dianna could only be expected to live about 45 days but that this condition had been detected very early and that they would start the treatment cycle immediately. She has finished her first course of treatment and the this blood vessel rebellion, the vasculitis, appears to have been quelled. Now the doctors are high fiving but they have let me know that your prayers have helped more than anything so please, lift Dianna up every opportunity you get. I don't know how I will ever repay you fellows.

We are going to see a lot of this place in the future once Dianna is release but that is okay with me. Whatever my lady needs. This is day 12 but we have a couple more to go before the pain she has been experiencing is under control. Thank you again for your prayers!

I've never failed to be impressed with the willingness of members here to take the heavy burdens of others to their God, and beseech Him to intervene for the good of another. This is labor, and it is a work of love. And thankfully, it works!! Thanks for letting us know.

As a physician, I'm convinced that prayers and the spiritual side often are WAY more powerful than anything we have to offer. Even when "we" cure something, we're just the method, not the force behind it.
