3rd Gen - $900 - 1300 depending on condition, w/box, papers, etc.; 2nd gen- up from there to maybe twice that if NIB. If you're patient, you can get 'em cheaper.

And I've got the Glock he's looking for Story of my life
This is like a "to be continued" television show. I really want to know the ending!! What happened? Darn it we'll never know.
I was at a gunshop a few years ago when a guy was offered $400 for a NIB Springfield Socom 16 and he was about to bite. I discreetly got his attention, and I now own that rifle.
Those dealers gotta make a buck, and squeezing the naive is their right, I suppose. But if you're in the right place at the right time...
I was told not to do that anymore more than once......I told them to KMA because if your allowed to screw them, I'm allowed to save them. My shop now will tell ya up front that they are screwing you on selling or trading to them and encourage them to place an ad and for how much to ask. They do about half unless it's a real thing. I'll buy used for about halfway between half and fair used retail...sometimes the person just don't want to fool around with it, but I want to make sure the fella knows what he could have got.....I'm funny that way
Just this afternoon I entered my favorite shop just as a fellow was closing a deal on a new $350 bolt action .22 rifle. He was tickled to death to be getting it without having to put up any money. All he gave the shop in trade was a mint 6" Colt Python!
