Need help from Administrator or someone who can contact them

I have sent a message thru the help link as well as sending a PM to Andy and have received no answer so I will try here. There is a fellow on the Marlin Forum who has been trying to become a member here but can't get his membership approved by the administrator . He gets no notice that he is approved and can't log on till he does . I had the same issue and finally after a year asked for help from someone on another forum that was also a member here . I'm trying to give him the same help I was given but I'm getting ignored it seems . If anyone has direct contact with any of the administrators and can help please PM me so I can pass his info on. Thanks.

With the amount of spam bots that attack us here our British brother Gamekeeper nukes as many as possible. Maybe you PM him with this fellows username and ol John will not nuke him...

Thanks Will, yes if I know what name he goes by I can keep an eye out for him and approve his membership if it comes up when I log on, we get a lot of spammers trying to get membership to advertise Viagra and porn sites etc. When I first started zapping spammers I could see their location and hobbies etc which made it easy but now I only can see their name and email address so if the name and email sound more like genuine shooters they have better chance of not being zapped than someone called Princess Lulu....

He said it showed his account was set up but he never got the approval notice with the activation link so he could do his first login, did me the same way. His account is under the user name fredd3039.Pm me if you need the email address he used to set the account up. I appreciate any help .

Thanks Eddie I'll watch out for that name and email address,, it is however similar to a lot of spammers if he had used 30/30 instead of 3039 he would have had more luck... please tell him to try again the time difference can cause a few hours delay.

On a few sites I've noticed upon opening said site an automatic verification page opens before the actual site.
I wonder if something like that could be implemented for us here? Could possibly reduce the workload for Gamekeeper, mods and keep us running without any hiccups?

Well that worked out ok a couple of emails and the forum has a new member
One thing some new member may not realise is that their first posts also require a moderator to activate so sometimes there's a delay before they appear.

Glad it got sorted. As mentioned, Scott, Andy and I were all at Raton this week, along with a few dozen other folk. I'm currently road running up in the US so haven't had time to check the inactive accounts for a while. Just nuked about 80 or so. With a user name like that I'm glad you gave us a "Heads up!" as it's more typical of a spammer than a levergunner!
