I Am Still Kicking.
Been in rehab seven days. They are gonna discharge me Monday. Got a ways to go yet. Spine has to heal. I sure appreciate the prayers!
Re: I Am Still Kicking.

Re: I Am Still Kicking.
Glad to hear you are on the road to recovery. Don't hit any bumps along the way.
Re: I Am Still Kicking.
Glad you are healing. Follow your Doctor's advice, and don't go getting married to your Nurse, either.

Good to hear from you Jim! I've never been subjected to it but a friend tells me that physical therapists are bad people.

Great news!

Make sure your docs don't miss the forest because they've been focusing on some significant trees.
Ask them if your vitamin D is adequate (many of us think it should be at LEAST 60), probably take vitamin K with it, plenty of calcium balanced with magnesium, and the bioavailable/free testosterone should be at least half as high as the maximum value in the 'reference range' (again, according to many docs, including me). The 'reference range' is typically something like 40-240 (or some other six-fold range), but 'normal' is an entirely different thing ('reference' just means the cutoffs are the highest and lowest 2.5% of the 'reference' population - that is healthy, AND - often disproportionately sick, since we send them for tests more often). 'Normal' or 'IDEAL' range is an entirely different concept - it refers to what the levels are for the portion of the population that feels and functions the best. That IDEAL range using the same lab would probably be more like 150-220. LOTS of other considerations, but these are the things I see overlooked when the neurosurgeons and orthopedists do their (admittedly fantastic) job of fixing things they can fix, but the primary care docs who SHOULD be attending to these other factors often just twiddle their thumbs instead.

GLAD YOU'RE FEELING BETTER...!
