Good Morning Everyone,

I'm working on the page again now. Loading very quickly this AM.

Online Support is saying:

"Hmm strange, it runs quickly for me. Your vps's have been up for over 150 days. I'm going to do a quick reset, this will clear up any dead / stuck processes on the backend."

Nothing I hate more than stuck processes on the backend....

I'll also take a look at the BOT traffic.

Please hit the site and poke around to see if there is any one page or link that is slower than the others.

My apologies for the issues. We added much more storage to the server last fall, right now only using about 1/4 - 1/3 of available memory.

No apologies needed. We are lucky to have such a forum at all.

Most of us have insufficient expertise to do much to help, but if there is equipment needed or expertise needing paid for, a fundraiser would be something that at least we could contribute to.

Yep.

I can get on about 5 out of 6 times but when I can't it will usually be an all-day thing of not able to log on. Dunno if that information helps or not.

I've not had as good luck as Doc, maybe 3 out of 6. The other day I tried to respond to this thread and it timed out 2 twice when I tried to post the response.

Hello everyone,

We continued to have major bot traffic on the site. When that happens, the server shuts it off.

Today I turned off all search engines access to the site

I also worked with Technical Support and we reset everything again.

Please try it, let me know if there are more issues

My apologies. I’m looking into a way to replicate this site without loosing any current function or content. One other thing was suggested by tech support and as I have time we will implement their suggestion.

Worked for me yesterday, but not the day before. Working great today though.

This is really acting like the hosting site has oversold their bandwidth. When the providers servers get overloaded the provider will often slow down or even stop some of the less trafficked sites. And compared to some sites Leverguns is small. Not much we as users can do. Even the site owner is at the mercy of the host. Hosting companies really don't care about smaller forums, and they know it is often such a hassle to change hosting companies site owners just stay where they are.
