I have an unfired Pedersoli "Creedmoor Long Range" rolling block in .45-70. It is new, unfired and surplus to my current needs. It comes with a basic tang sight, for which the tang is drilled and tapped, as well as a card of sight inserts for the globe front. Other Pedersoli single shots I have owned have been very accurate thanks to the excellent choked barrels Pedersoli uses and I would expect this one to be no different. If you have ever been interested at long-range shooting with cast bullets, this would be an excellent platform. The trigger on this rifle was heavy as it came from the factory and merely adding some lithium grease in the right places made a big difference.
The Pedersoli catalog number is 870-457 and the Italian Firearms Group in Amarillo lists the MSRP as $2,335. I am willing to let it go at a big discount-- $1400 plus insured shipping-- if anyone is interested. It is a mighty handsome rifle.
The only cosmetic issue that I see is that the buttstock is not as closely inletted at the tang as one might wish.
