its a savage 219 with three barrels --- 30/30, 25/20, and 410. the barrels are each 26"

They're both wonderful Harold. That Savage trio certainly covers all the bases except for really big angry critters coming in hot -- and even then ...

Both are nice. I think you have deer size all the way down to squirrel covered with those. Heck, I would use a 30-30 on elk if it was all I had. Just get close and make a good shot.

I would have loved to have that Savage setup when i was a lad --- probably would have worn the 410 barrel 90% of the time
