Suppressor Extremes (tiny and not)

.
This is pretty interesting. I’ve seen the little short ones on videos, but not in person.

How does that shorty work? (As far as does it offer a good amount of sound suppression?)

Kid,

mine works awesome with a carbine --- the pistol it is pictured on is still a bit rowdy --- i guess because pistols are naturally a bit louder in general so the sound suppression is likely the same

But i watched the whole video too --- and the poster states that yes - the little weird can on the 5.56 does decrease the noise significantly --- it does not take it down lower than 125db or so --- but still a 50db reduction over an unadorned 5,56 short barreled rifle (16" or so -- not super short)

125 db is still pretty darn loud. Not sure I'd waste any money buying something that doesn't suppress lower than that. OSHA considers noise levels about 60db to be harmful to hearing, so this is really harmful. And if you're familiar with how db ratings go, a 120 db isn't twice as loud as 60 db! It's huge amounts louder for each number increase.
