Of course rumor is they're going to graciously cross off that part of the law because that's typical of what liberals do they ask for a whole bunch of ridiculous stuff and then agree to compromise by removing 10% of the ridiculous stuff leaving the other 90%. Funny how compromise always ratchets up prohibitions and never goes the other way.

Originally all Ruger ones were banned. But currently only ones chambered in 460 bee are banned because it has enough energy to penetrate body armour. They originally banned them all because their so called chief firearms expert said they all could be rebarreled and chambered in 460 on a kitchen table with a pipe wrench and a couple of files. They only relented after a public outcry and just went after the 460.Now to anyone with any knowledge of firearms the idea that anyone would go on a shooting spree with a no 1 in 460 is insane but that’s the sort of idiots we have to deal with.I would like to give one of these experts a no 1 in 460 and few boxes of ammo and see how many times they could fire it let alone hit anything.

By the way they are also banning expensive vintage double rifles and the Lakefield Mossberg plinkster but because these guns are currently not registered I seriously doubt anyone that owns one will turn it in.
By the way does anybody want to adopt a Canadian gun owner LOl

PS The real truth behind these bans basically is the liberals using their paid off news media (Gobbels would be proud of them)to create fear and havoc to the uninformed general public then coming to the rescue with all these bans as the hero.Typical liberal skullduggery.Big Brother is coming to Canada if we can t vote out these fools unfortunately though it seems they even have that rigged now so we can t

In the very late 1980s when the CA Legislature considered an assault weapons ban and magazine limits, they included the phrase "any device designed to hold more than 10 rounds..." as being illegal to possess... not buy, sell or otherwise transfer... POSSESS. Effectively, making me a criminal for owning a copy of an 1889 money belt as it held 30 round of 45 Colt in loops. Specifically designed and constructed to do so. Making my dedicated shotgun belt illegal as it held 25 12 gauge shells. Making my 24" 1873 Sporting Rifle illegal to possess. Let alone the standard container for marketing shotshells holds 4 rows of five, or the various aftermarket ammo boxes. Or my 5 or 6 GI cans for 50 Cal or 30 cal ammo! No, the offensive final legislation didn't include that exact language, and it specifically excluded lever action firearms, but... the intent was clearly there. Like our city council... after voting to build a 2 million dollar city hall for town that only held less than a thousand residents (then). And granted a variance to a builder to allow him to build upward of 500 new homes on lots of less than 2-½ acres, constructed with less than 75% exterior brick... and themselves a raise. How surprised were they when in the next election they all (with the exception of the lone dissenter), were replaced. Who, in turn, were replaced when they failed to rescind the building contract for the new city hall and their raise. As far as I'm concerned, politicians of all stripes are several rungs below used car salesmen in their dealings with the public. As a lawyer friend of mine told me, "99% of lawyers give the other 1% a bad name." And maybe the best lawyer joke of all time: Do you know why San Francisco has all the gays and Los Angeles has all the lawyers? San Francisco got first choice!

No offense ScottT... lawyers in general have earned their reputation. It is refreshing to know that there are some scrupulous lawyers out there. I do however, think while Ayn Rand is often quoted as writing, but it seems to follow her writings, the idea "that anyone willing to run for public office has proven that they don't have the integrity to deserve to hold office." As one of my professors once quipped, "a good lawyer can argue both sides of the argument that your brown shoes are black... but a great lawyer will convince you that your brown shoes are black"!
