New 1886 black powder only!

I just bought a new Winchester 1886 45-90. A sticker is on the barrel that says “black powder only. Must be a lawyer thing. I will be using smokeless only! They don’t have that warning on the 45-70 version.

It's because there's no SAAMI spec for 45-90. Don't worry, your shoulder will give up before the gun does.

I have run some fairly stout loads through mine.....its unpleasant to say the least

I didn't know that there wasn't a SAAMI spec for the 45-90. I went and looked. Thanks for bringing that to our attention.
