Will, she is said to have an appetite -- a very good sign. I just can't imagine how the pediatric surgeon can prescribe pain control for one so tiny.

The meds are probably done by weight , I'm sure Doc could give us that info?

Weight and age. Age has a tremendous effect on how well the liver breaks things down for disposal through the kidneys and bowels and lungs. Weight is next.
Meds in kids are potentially more deadly than the same meds in adults.
There are variations. 3 day old infants are safer to give Tylenol to than I am. I am safer to give aspirin to than 10 average adults all together. Aspirin is completely inert to my system.

Just heard that Harper's condition remains very serious. They don't know if the Kasai surgical procedure was a success yet. My daughter and son-in-law are on the far ragged edge of worry and stress, and we appreciate any continued prayers.
