.
After finding out that most of the other 'brands' I've tried over the years are NOT made in the US, for awhile I kind of gave up on the concept of limiting every purchase to US-made items, and just trying to do it 'most of the time'.
These 'Monstrum' branded (yep - Chinese) are pretty solid quality, at least...
Ruger Scope Base for Marlins https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Z3MDMHL
Ruger Scope Base for 10/22 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9ZQP6S9
One-inch QD one-piece Scope Rings https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FKHP5JGZ
The mount seems repeatable, and the Ruger 10/22 base and Marlin 1894 base I've ordered have been precisely made and fit well. The Marlin one has six holes, so I'm guessing (I didn't bother to check) it may fit more than just the 336 and 1895 - maybe Mossbergs or other similar firearms...?.
I guess for the moment, if I'm going to chip in to the Chinese aircraft carrier fund, at least I got some solid parts for my firearms.

Re: Some decent Scope Mounts and Bases
I have found some good used and new-old-stock Redfield and Weaver mounts on eBay.
Re: Some decent Scope Mounts and Bases
I went to Warne totally 5 years ago. I bought an old Tikka LSA 65 30-06 mase in 1975, by Tikkakoski, the original company In Finland, before Sako acquired them. I got the rifle without knowing anything about it, no scope or bases on it. Did lotta research about what I needed, and can't remember all details, but basically those who knew the rifle said, "do yourself a favor and get the original rings made by Tikka for the rifle, no bases needed, they're a glove fit! But, they're next to impossible to find, and expensive!"
Oh boy great news! And word was hard to find any new made that work on the rifle! But someone suggested Warne, just a pist on the Net? So I called Warne by phone, told them my needs? Yes Sir, we make our Maxima Bases & Rings to fit that rifle! Well, I decided I wanted to try Maxima QD Rings & Bases, because of the fine iron sights on the rifle! Had em just few days, quick! Well, I hadn't thought of it, but I really needed QD, because the rear action screws has to be tightened from the top, on the rear tang!
Well by a years good tryout, holding zero, I decided the next year to install them on mt Rem 700 270Win, which I did, because i have iron sights on it also.
Since, ive removed both scopes numerous times, love the system, and they both come back to zero! Ive been wearing the woods out since deer season and I take both scopes off, put it in my backpack, wrapped in a Scope Coat & Bubble wrap Envelope. I take my Tikka mostly now, gave several loads, but one good reduced load for each rifle! I used always carry a levergun for this, but ive went to my Boltaction's about totally!
Just other day, a warm day, i went to rifle range, shot my 150gr reloads & Win PP's 180gr both thru my Tikka, scope on, Zeroed perfectly!
I turned away from cheaper aluminum rings years ago, squirrel hunting with a scoped 22lr, traveling on a 4w? I would loose zero often, and I hunted all season, 100's shots a season! I went to Leupold Steel Rings back then, problem solved. I used only Leupold or Weaver steel rings from then on, until I went to Warne! But yes, im sure the older rings will do, provided they're steel! But I do love the QD Warne's!

Way long time ago, optics were so pricey vs the cost of a rifle, and internal adjustments of reticles unavailable, so the mounts were what you adjusted, and at least in theory you could have one scope for different rifles, although the adjustable mounts of that era would have required re-sighting-in each time.
With modern cheaper optics, and internal adjustments, mounts became cheap and robust, but seldom adjustable. Scopes were cheap enough to get one for each gun.
Now we are back to where a connoisseur can easily spend more on their scope than their rifle, so it seems like with modern machining tolerances and so on, we could return to an era of adjustable mounts and swappable scopes.
Doubt it will happen though, because the folks without tons of money still have enough to get inexpensive scopes for their guns, maybe splurging on an expensive brand for a couple of their favorite guns. The wealthy who demand the best scopes probably will just budget for another one with every rifle purchase.

Re: Some decent Scope Mounts and Bases
Very true Doc, there's some great choices in scopes at a fraction of the dollars! When I got the Tikka, i needed a scope. Wanted a Leupold but I went with the Burris FF ll 3-9x40, that came by overwhelming recommendation! I hadn't done any scope research since I got my last one for a squirrel rifle, almost 20 years ago. I always hunted iron sighted leverguns for deer.
What ive learned since, is several, the Burris included, and some Vortex models made in Phillipines, being very near equal to even some of the European made scopes, in low light capabilities & clarity! John Barness has covered this a lot on his Rifle Looney Site, for a number of years! Last i read on his articles, he had 10 i think Burris Fullfield scopes on his own rifles, and just as satisfied with them as any others! Found out the old Tasco's that lotta people have used long time, where made in the Philippines, or used to be, I think maybe China or Japan in recent years, but not sure when changed?
I put a Burris Fullfield ll on my Rem 700 270Win also, couldn't be happier with both these scopes!
I am considering maybe soon, getting an old Weaver k3 3x fixed power made in mid 70's. Put it in some Warne QD Rings, and use it on my 30-06 for hunting most time. 3x is all I need on it, around here ranges usually short, and the lighter weight a plus, not to mention I'd just like the old blued, period correct scope for that rifle! And i could keep its present 3-9×40 for backup, long range targets, etc!
But in defense of a Leupold, if one can afford it? The lifetime warranty worth a lot, even if you buy it used, no matter how many owners before. The Leupold name is still worth your $!
