Another Wandering Package

Post by jeepnik »

So, I have an ECV, handicap scooter. It's three wheel, all wheel drive. And this ain't your grandma's scooter. It's max speed is 25 mph. But the rear tires never really worked well in loose stuff. So I decided to get something more aggressive. I looked for so BFG KO3's, but they don't come that small. So I had to settle for something knobbier than stock.

So, tires ordered from Amazon. But it turns out that sometimes Amazon uses UPS. My tires went from North Carolina, through a number of states to Highland California. Not bad, pretty quickly got to about eighty miles away. Then for reasons known only to the package shipment gods it took a 180 and is not in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Now I can semi understand if a package wanders around but is always sort of headed in the right direction. But to get close and then head back east is a mystery.

There are some really remarkable (and expensive) motorized chairs and ATV's for those with mobility issues. Many were developed by veterans for veterans, but others of course now benefit. I've seen some that can pretty much go anywhere I could walk on two feet (I could crawl up angles they couldn't).
