Linebaugh 45 Auto
We all know that John was a dyed in the wool revolver guy, but I heard that he "discovered" the 1911 towards the end of his life. Does anyone know what he loaded his with? I'm not shopping for a load as much as I'm curious what a guy like John would feed Old Slabsides.

I talked with him pretty regularly up until he died and we never discussed the .45 Auto.
It certainly could have happened. But I don’t think I ever heard anything like that from John.

John had a Colt Commander size gun he carried some, I dont know how long he had it. I asked someone that knew him better, he didnt know what loads john used.

Yep, in addition to being an amazing shooter he seems to have had quite a sense of humor. A range day with Munden would've been memorable.AmBraCol wrote: ↑Sat Jan 10, 2026 9:42 amScott Tschirhart wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 9:51 pm Here’s something else
