Linebaugh 45 Auto

Post by samsi »

We all know that John was a dyed in the wool revolver guy, but I heard that he "discovered" the 1911 towards the end of his life. Does anyone know what he loaded his with? I'm not shopping for a load as much as I'm curious what a guy like John would feed Old Slabsides.

I talked with him pretty regularly up until he died and we never discussed the .45 Auto.

It certainly could have happened. But I don’t think I ever heard anything like that from John.

John had a Colt Commander size gun he carried some, I dont know how long he had it. I asked someone that knew him better, he didnt know what loads john used.

Isnt it amazing how many people post without reading the thread?

Yep, in addition to being an amazing shooter he seems to have had quite a sense of humor. A range day with Munden would've been memorable.
