Talk about little!
Our youngest son and his wife were expecting their first child with a due date of January 31st. Three weeks ago there were complications and baby Sarah decided it was time to meet everyone at just 28 weeks. After an emergency C section in the middle of the night, she was here just like that. 1 pound, 15 ounces. I had never seen a preemie like her, and it's hard to comprehend how tiny she is until you see her in person. However, she is doing great but will remain in the NICU at least until her original due date. God is good!

Excellent. Our youngest daughter was a premie like that. She caught up just fine and is now a Momma herself and a beautiful lady.
Re: Talk about little!
Wonderful!!
Glad everyone is doing all right.....the wonders of modern medicine.

Praying she does well!
I weighed in at even less than that as a premie twin -- that they didn't even know about -- and the Doc had left the hospital and they had to send a police car after him to bring him back. My twin, who came out first (that means I went in first, right?) weighed just a pound more than me. Nobody was expecting twins, as they're none in the family history -- until we came along. We spent 44 days -- with no NICU in those days -- in a basinette in the hospital with lights on for 24 X 7 and our eyes not covered, which is why we both needed glasses... But hey, we survived!
Wishing well for babe & Mom & Dad. Congrats!

Ted, hope all goes exceptionally well. My granddaughter came out last Saturday at 8 pounds, 2 ounces, continuing a family tradition.
Darryl, you mean to say that Dale was stealing your nutrients?

Glad to hear she is doing well!
My sister was a premie, she came home in a shoebox, then into a dresser drawer until she outgrew it. She topped out at 4'11".

.
I took care of a one-pound, one-ouncer way back in residency in the 1980's, and the little girl visited the hospital when she was in college, all healthy and well.
