it's a Christmas movie love story.

I always got my girls to watch movies by telling them it's a love story... like LAST STAND AT SABRE RIVER ... they caught on soon enough but if you paid attention, it was a love story.

I hate to admit it, but I’ve never actually seen that movie….

I don’t think anything can actually replace the Christmas Story with Ralphie (and his hottie mom… :P ), but I guess maybe I could try to expand my horizons this year….

My daughters both disagree. We have had that "discussion" for years now. They contend it is NOT a Christmas story, just one that happens to take place during the Christmas season. I of course totally disagree and have my arguments to back it up. Honestly, this has turned into a good natured holiday tradition that always comes up during this time of year. We all have fun debating it... at least I do. :)

THE ABSOLUTE BEST Christmas story is 2000 years old. There are books and movies about it. Some are good and some are not so good. There is preaching about. Again, some ain't so good and some is great. And there are lots of versions of it according to the customs and traditions of the place they are in.

+ another. The older I get, the less enamored I get with the commercialization - nay, secularization - of both Christmas and Easter.
