There was an article on hunting with one of these early in the Black Powder Cartridge News, before it went four-color, if I recall correctly. Played with a lesser Pedersoli Sharps in .54 and had some fun with it, but an original Merrill was more fun if'n ya want ta spill black powder grains upon loading.
