Fermin is a true innovator when it comes to Ruger front sights.
My favorite Single Sixes are the ones with a drift adjustable rear sight. The problem is that you cannot buy a short replacement front sight because they didn’t make enough of these fine revolvers.
I have a Bisley that shoots well out to 50 yards but the factory blade is too short. In fact a previous owner tried to cure it with a small brass shim.

Neat! I have the same problem with the OM's, usually have to file the rear sight to lower POI.

Re: Working on a project with Fermin Garza.
So Fermin sent me a custom manufactured front sight left high so that I could file it to my liking.
It has a very nice vertical face that is finely checkered. Once I had it filed to the correct height (to hit the top of the blade at 50 yards) I’ll send it back for him to install a gold bead in the face.
I did the final shooting and filing yesterday afternoon. So it goes back to Fermin later today.

.
I soldered a roll-pin on top of the 'patridge' style sight on my 'Ruger clone' 22 LR pistol. I filed the cut edge to fit the top of the existing sight, and I also drilled out the hole in the roll pin so you actually can see through it.
So for a 'fine bead' type aim, I look through the front, but for faster shooting I don't bother.
Now this setup involves a rear 'ghost ring' sight, so it's kinda different, but most importantly - it works for me...!
Anyway, it might be possible to similarly solder on a piece of square stock and file it to the height you need.
