Kahr Kollection

Well, now I have 3 options for concealed carry -- all with the same trigger action & feel.

I finally found a decent MK9 at a very decent price to join my other stainless Kahrs. Yeah, Jay Leno may have a nice Car Collection -- but all I can afford is a Kahr Kollection.

I'll have to get it out to the range soon -- along with the others.

Hi Jim:

* The MK9 is all metal, 4" tall (6 + 1 capacity), 5.3" OAL and weighs in at 24 oz.

* The CW9 has a poly lower, is 4.5" tall (7 + 1 capacity), 5.9" OAL and weighs 17.7 oz.

I tend to shoot heavier handguns a bit better, so I'm partial to Kahr's all-stainless guns.

A relative has a CW9. I have fired it. While I do not prefer polymer striker fired guns, I have to say it is light and small .. easy to use and has the best trigger I ever used on any polymer gun. I have not shot many, but the trigger is better than any Glock or Sig I ever shot.

The Kahr handguns are really underrated, IMO. I've shot several of them, but never picked one up for myself. The all steel version would be my choice, as well.

I've owned a couple Kahrs. I can't say anything negative about them, but I just never warmed up to them.

I bought an old Kahr E9 from a friend just because it was inexpensive and all steel. But sure was heavy for a mid sized 9mm. I finally sold it and went back to my S&W 39 in 9mm.

Never shot a Kahr, but as a kid we shot a couple CARS to pieces (junk ones a farmer left half-buried in the river-bottom to hold against erosion of the river bank).

I actually like (shoot better) the CW45 and do carry it at times buts it's a bit larger and heavier the the CW40.

The "little" CM45 is harder to shoot than CW45 but it can hold it's own. Here's a target that I shot at 25yds rested when I first got it (the lighter line around the 5 big holes). I was sighting in a 308 and just wanted to see where the little gun hit.

I only have the poly frame versions, but I really like them especially the 45s.

Is KAhr still going? -- Havent really noticed anything from them in a while although i remember a few friends 15ish years ago who carried Kahr's /

No opinion as i never tried one , but -- German engineering is usually quite satisfactory

I think the owner/designer is Korean?!?! I recall hearing that "Kahr" was selected as the name as it sounded harsh and European.
