heavy lee 310 loads in 44 mag rossi 92
Has anyone tried this bullet in their rifles fellas? I was considering getting the mold for bigger game. Not sure if the Rossi 1:30 twist will like it, Im thinking at rifle speeds it should shoot okay? I'll admit up front I'd be looking to run heavy loads, N110 and Lilgun powder with whatever max COAL will work in my gun. Anyone got heavy load data for this one or willing to run QL for interests sake, feel free.

I tried 300gr xtps in my 1968 vintage Ruger carbine. They shot ok even with the painfully slow pitch. However 240s shot a whole lot better.
I used a 300xtp on a large hog( estimate it's live weight well over 350) {yes it was a fenced hunt , was something a bunch of us did after hunting season closed}, my shot was about 25 yards and the pig acted like nothing happened. It walked about 15 yards and fell over. When I proceeded to unload my gun i then realized it didn't feed a live round and chamber it- fortunately i didn't need another!

I've used the Magma type 300TC in mine, I believe it's meant for the .444 Marlin. I've put them up over BP with a Wonder Wad and also used the data from Speer for their 300gn jacketed bullet. They shoot okay out to 50 yards in my gun, probably due more to the long bearing surface than anything. Be prepared to mess with the sight elevator.
