Marlin got a lot of use out of that particular catalog for many years! Starting post WWII and going up to the 1950's before they finally made a new catalog. But content changed as models were dropped, changed, or whatever.
I had a huge Marlin catalog collection from around 1885 up to 2000. Some missing years, but not many.
I still have a very large collection of Marlin Firearms razor blades from the earliest years to the 1970's when they eventually stopped making razor blades. During WWII and Korean era Marlin was the largest producer of razor blades in the world, yet many people don't even know they ever made blades. I also have a bunch of advertising for Marlin blades, and counter displays for double edge and single edge blades. I should sell it all, but never seems to be any Marlin collectors interested. I put out a dozen brand new boxes of blades at our gun show at $5 a box, and maybe sold 1 or 2 boxes over a couple years. Maybe I should take this stuff to Greeley show this month and see if it goes away.

Old ads and catalogs are cool.

It makes me wonder what else Ruger will bring back under the Marlin brand or if they’ll just finish fleshing out the base centerfire models with offshoots and do nothing else. I know most people say 39a (which I agree with) but they have other cool stuff. I expect it would be hard to compete in the 22 bolt action market.

Plus they're just cool to look at and imagine the kids of that era drooling over what to buy once they saved up.

I remember the green Remington Ammunition catalogs with their cool cartridge pictures...!



I think I still have a couple from the 1970's...
