new to me Ruger Bisley

Post by zoner »

So I found a Ruger Bisley last week on a local forum(I'm in San Diego). Called the seller and he agreed to come to me to do a PPT. I got a 6 1/2" blued Bisley Single Six chambered in 32 H+R Magnum. This revolver has been fired very little. It came with a box of "stuff".....new Redding die set, Lee FCD, 250 pieces of Starline brass, 2 boxes of XTP HP bullets, 500 RNFP coated bullets, about 50 Rim Rock FN gas checked bullets, and a invoice from Hamilton Bowen detailing a action/trigger job, free spin pawl, and cylinder charge holes polished. I got the gun and the box for a grand total of $525 cash. The gun is in CA DROS prison right now and tomorrow is my pick-up day. My anticipation level is very high....like a little kid. That reminds me I gotta go take my BP meds haha. 72 years old and acting like a little kid....I have some pics on my phone but haven't had any luck posting them on this forum.......Mike

Bravo Zulu !

Sounds like a great find.

There are many .32 aficionados here and sanctioned loads in the .32 short, long and h&r avoids the .327 screaming pressures/blasts.

Keep us informed.....

Nice! Looks like one of those from that early 2000's run, I regret not grabbing one.

Now that is a nice looking revolver !

I suspect that even those who just don't like the feel of the bisley grip could learn to like that one.....

I hope you have great fun with that one. My old friend Terry Murbach had a thing for .32s. I have several but I have neglected to use them much.

I have the same gun and the barrel slugged at .313. I use .314 ,100 grain bullets with Tite group and it shoots great. I have other Ruger single sixes that slug at .312.

I have a .327 Federal, but tend to shoot the .32 HR a Lot more.

Have fun with that very nice looking revolver!
