Only during this week's fiasco stalking fallow deer I got caught with my pants down!!
I saw the shadows of the nobber moving towards me first and managed to not only pull my draws up but reach the rifle and stand up, cock the hammer and with paper still in left hand take aim just in time for my young buck to stop and stare! At 30 plus yards I shot it in the head. I shot it with my trousers around my ankles.....
I just long for a straight forward hunt one day I really really do!
Nath, of all people, I figured you one last to do something so so sh--ty to a deer! What horrible way for it to have to die! But good keeping your cool making the shot! Maybe you ought make a toilet paper rack out a foot? Or something that's one in a million!

I shot a buck once while emptying my bladder. I never saw the deer before I unzipped but mid way through it flicked it's tail. My Woolrich pants were damp but I shot the deer, a 7 point, missing from the elbow down. It was all healed over.
