Got Some Time on the Range Today

Post by JimT »

Weather has finally turned off nice so I took the old flat-top .357 to the Range. Spent time shooting paper as well as some clay pigeons.

It was a good couple hours.

They declare Sudden Death when Jim pulls out his pistol!

Mighty fine shooting. Was it offhand or rested?

The group in the photo was shot with a two-hand hold, resting both hands.

Jim, these days I get my casting lead from an acquaintance of Jim Gosnell's who has a machine cast bullet business and of course buys his lead from a foundry.

Do you remember Jim Gosnell? He wrote articles for Guns Magazine for several years and in fact wrote stories about the 500 Linebaugh and later the 475 Linebaugh which helped propel John Linebaugh to the success that he became after he dedicated himself wholly to revolver conversions.

In my conversation with Jim Gosnell yesterday, Mic McPherson's name came up so I naturally asked if he had met you....and he apparently did years ago.

I remember his name, though I don't remember meeting him. But that does not mean that I didn't meet him! I have a good memory. I just cannot recall where I put it.
