I seldom get jokes right when I try to tell them but here's one.
In the days before the perestroikial reunion of the two germanys the east berlin zoo had reached its lowest and had lost their last great russian bears to neglect. Being masters at propaganda, they resourcefully created quite realistic bear suits and hired rotund actors to fill them. A beefy young man readily took-on the bear role but was unprepared for the realiistic appearance of the other "bears" and began to shriek in fear as the sliding door closed him into the enclosure. As a gigantic beast bore down on him he quit yelling, and trembled mute with fear. The looming "bear" said is a determined hiss, "stop that racket ! this is an easy gig and times are hard. don't spoil it !"
