nope, it's all good. I found a bullet performance post by John T that's worth reading. How can bullets that big make groups that small, eh?

in case anyone wonders the 45/70/405 and the 44/405 have the same ballistics at equal velocities. the muzzle energy is the same if the velocity is the same. trapdoor performance from either barrel . . .

I used that load data as a basis for a good deal of what I did with cast in the 444 . Now I no longer own a 444 . But oh my my I have a pile of cast bullets in jars for the 44/444 .
Parkers , Mannlicher Schoenauer’s , 6.5mm's and my family in the Philippines !

Yeah but I’m not shooting cast in a Ruger 44R carbine .
Parkers , Mannlicher Schoenauer’s , 6.5mm's and my family in the Philippines !
