But we will survive! Austin however is shut down. They are having problems getting their snow plow started.

My daughter lives in north Austin and sent us some pictures. However, as we told her, that isn't even a light frost let alone actual snow.

At the beginning of winter last fall we got a real snow event. It snowed twice in 2 days and we got a total of 34" of the fluffy white stuff. That's a real snow storm.

Jim, stay off the roads until it blows over. I have found that many in Texas have no concept of the basic principles of traction. :lol:

No worries! I have seen that first-hand and I have no place I'd rather be than home by a warm fire.

I remember being at Shepard AFB in Wichita Falls in fall of 1969 and they got 10" of snow!! It shut the whole base down for a week, and luckily that was from Christmas to New Years!
Pre WWI Marlins and Singleshot rifles!

I live in Mobile, AL and we had 7 1/2 inches of snow. Pensacola , FL had 10 inches and Navarre FL had 8 and 1/2 inches.

BUT HECK WE NEVER GET SNOW SO THIS WAS REALLY BIG HERE

1973 George AFB a storm dumped about 18" in less than 24 hours. The base shutdown along with the entire high desert.
