I got a new Wagon... and I like it...

Post by AJMD429 »

.
....no, not a station wagon, nor a toy wagon, or a stage coach.... just a utility cart/wagon to replace my wheelbarrow and 'garden cart' that were getting worn out.

I ordered this on-line because none of the local stores had anything other than over-priced flimsy wagons (that I've had before and the only question is whether they will rust first or break first), and run-of-the-mill wheelbarrows.

It arrived in a big box, took about 10 minutes to assemble, and is really nice.

Sturdy, sensible design. Balances well and dumps easily. You can push OR PULL it with one hand or two, and is rated at 400 pounds of capacity. I use it for firewood and manure and yard debris. I did put a chunk of rubber horse-mat in the bottom just so I could toss big chunks of firewood in with wild abandon... :D

Anyway, I was prepared to be disappointed, but was really pleased. Kind of wish I'd gotten two, in case they quit making them any time soon. (That's the same excuse I use to buy two of the same gun sometimes... :D )

Nice. I've been looking at a Rubbermaid wagon. I've been using a Rubbermaid garbage can for moving firewood around the yard/wood pile and it's worked well for me. I have 2 of the 50 gallon cans I think it is. They are square, and I can roll them right on the porch and take from them as needed. I then throw a board over them and use them for a work surface when not in use.

Nice! They do come in handy, and good idea about padding the bottom.

But if your bride is like mine, she'll get tired of lifting it -- so instead, we got a Gorilla Cart. It rolls, dumps, pulls easily and is very stable. It's also made with a taller tub, if needed.

Looks like good tools. I like the spoked wheels. Makes me think of what Pitchy's cart may look like . . . :D
