I just paid a visit to the Border Patrol Museum in El Paso last Monday. Lots of respect for this outfit -- and for Jordan's skill and reflexes.
They did have different gun handling protocols in those days though.

I have the book, Bill signed it for me in his motel room at Shot Show in I think 1993, Skeeter Skelton and Bob Milk were there also along with a big crock bottle of Henry McKenna whiskey, wow what a night that was.

I was fortunate to see Bill Jordan put on a demo when I was a kid. He appeared at our Memorial hall in town and Dad took me to see him. Bill put on a great show, telling stories and doing some incredible shooting with wax bullets if I recall correctly. I recall sitting there memorized. Years later I acquired an autographed copy of his book, "No Second Place Winner" which I've read several times.

I have a set of Bill Jordan grips on my S&W Model 629, and it makes the revolver a joy to shoot, in my humble opinion. The man knew his firearms.
