A tradition according to my wife (who grew up in NO), and I got to share with her once.

My wife loves NO and every time we go there we have to stop by Cafe du Monde. We've been going there since 1980 and beignets and coffee are a tradition for us. Another good place for beignets is Loretta's Authentic Pralines.

Excellent!
My favorite there is Acme Oyster House. They do a grilled oyster with a secret sauce that is out of this world!
Good luck Scott!

Thanks for all of the great suggestions. There is always something to do next time we are in New Orleans.
This was Kathy’s first visit and I imagine that I’ll be arguing here again.
The argument went well and we had a great panel. Hopefully they will adopt our clients’ position in their Opinion.

Re: Enjoying a Beignet on Canal Street in New Orleans
One of the best road trips my wife and I took was when I was discharged. I was stationed at Eglin AFB in Florida and we drove from there to our home in L.A. The trip took three weeks. We stopped at all of the major attractions and quite a few small ones as well. The I-10 wasn't completed yet so some of the trip was on older highways. That and the side trips to see things added quite a few miles to a straight through trip today.
The older highways took us through smaller towns and made it clear why they were dying as the interstate bypassed them.
Our car was a 1972 Gran Torino. 351 Cleveland and big 4 barrel carb. That thing was built for road trips.

Don't remember what street in the quarter this is, but I bet you can't park like that anymore.
