Some of the younger guys think my books are old.
Just because I bought them in the 1960's and 70's.
I know what you mean, darn 1990 is 34years ago,But, getting old sure beats the alternative.
I was floored awhile back when someone pointed out that WWII is as far in our past as the Civil War was in their past.
That last quoted bit from Big Bear sure is the truth!
I keep asking (rhetorically), "How'd I get so old? Seems like I just suddenly went from young-ish to this."
Sweet Tooth, being the darling creature and delicate flower that she is, has been known to reply with something like, "You just haven't died yet, is how. And the other part is that you weren't paying attention. Like usual." At least she has the courtesy to laugh when she says it.
To get back on track, I think that the most I have paid for a gun/hunting book was right around $100, for a former library copy of Al Goerg's handgun hunting book. Although that number is only so low due to a bunch of lucky breaks over the years. I know that I got a bunch of old African hunting classics at what was probably about the low point in interest and price.
