Re: Who likes the .410 shotgun?
Pitchy that is a beautiful SXS I had a Stevens 311 20ga when I was young that I sure wish I'd kept! I did find out what a .410 will not do and that is kill a coyote at 35 yards with #6 copper coated shot. I took this pump out to the orchard hoping to see a rabbit or two and mister coyote ran by me....

Well guys you all repeated what i already thought for myself! Dont want or need one. I see Midway always having these 80% on sale and was curious if anyone had finished one and if it were reliable. At one point i had thought about a glock and put a .22 slide on it just to have a dedicated glock 22 b...

Ever since I told my wife I thought I had seen cape buffalo tracks back behind the pond, and I would really feel more comfortable with a 375 Ruger than just a 444 Marlin for protection when out mushroom-hunting, my descent down the Path of Sin and Excess was begun, and there's been no turning back[...

My CZ SxS has 28" barrels, 4 &3/4 lbs HAD 10 lbs trigger pulls! I scattered it out and deburred the receiver where the triggers were dragging and cut the pulls in half. Still a little heavy but with heavy gloves I'll keep 5 lbs.

I almost forgot about my Hi- Standard Flight King pump 410 skeet gun! 3" 5s were fantastic on the little duck pond on my buddies farm . Shot quite a few mallards & black ducks with it. It also was a favorite cat gun with slugs!!

Re: Who likes the .410 shotgun?
Yes sir the 410 is much more effective than people think. I find open chokes are better, the long shot column and tight chokes cause flyers . I do use my 410 CZ with IC & M fixed chokes for preserve birds. I use 7&1/2s, 6s and sometimes 4s.(although I really prefer my 28) 410 slugs are quite...

I've been thinking about cleaning sharks... try going from nose to tail with your knife. The denticles on the hide are actually like teeth and they are point backwards. Also instead of using a good knife use a utility knife and throw the blades away- no need to wreck the edge on your buck.

I think the levergun applications would be limited by what seems to be a primary feature of this round -- headspacing on the case mouth. To me this would seem to rule out tube-magazine designs since the crimping necessary to prevent bullet set-back in tube mags doesn't mix well with headspacing on ...

On the line at the bunker, load 2, call for the target and repeat.
Seriously tho any and all practice be it. Dry fire drills or live fire is good, retains muscle memory, recoil impulse is always good to feel.

Yes it "flew" in ground effect. Sure the simulations say it could fly but it did not get out of ground effect so I did NOT technically fly! I am not disagreeing its was a technological feat. It was also ridiculously expensive and Hughs more or less went nuts because of it. In the governmen...
