Blaine, Modified for lead , is Full for steel, choke wise.After a "number" of rounds, steel will peen out the choke and threads. Eventually it will be hard to put choke in and out. I have no idea how many rounds that would take.

They are supposed to return to zero. The side has a 0 on it for when sighted it in so you can put it back to that spot.

How did you finally decide on this? You been asking alot of questions about various cartridges and guns, what was your process of elimation and decision? I spent 11 months deciding a red dot sight and 9 months on a cartridge and barrel length for a Contender carbine! Todd/3leg

Ive been shooting some 148gr WC's at 950fps (book velocity) Out of a 2 1/2" 357 SP101. Recoil is mild.

Just got a 1958 model 88 in, was sorta gummy and sticky. Spent 4 minutes oiling and cleaning, now it is " slicker n snot on a brass rail" I'm tempted to make it my own now. Its in .308. Feels and handles real nice.... todd/3leg

Bill, itsa 2 3/4" chamber. I wouldnt shoot 3" unless it was an emergency. I shot some 3" R-P goose loads with 1 7/8oz 12 gauge shells in a Mossberg , felt like getting hit in the palm of my hands with a baseball bat!

I have manuals from 60, 70, 80 90 and 2000's. Akso have the pamphlets from 70-80 and 90's. I waited about 25mins too long to buy a 50's Lyman loading manual at a show.

I didnt, I took it in on trade. Dont think I wanna sell now. I also got 24V in 357 over 20 gauge a few days b4. Getting too attached to things again. Have a shiw to do in Aransas Pass mid-december. So can wait til then to decide....!

Nice holsters. Like how they contrast with the revolvers. I just noticed to that a bunch of stainless SP101s in 38 with 3" barrels are on market. Claim they are police trade ins. Hope a few find their way up here.

I got to thinking and had the bright idea to sell my LSI Puma 357 at an obnoxious price then buy a Marlin 357 to replace it. I see how much the Marlins are selling for!.!... So much for thinking!.!... So I bought a 24V in 357/20 gauge to appease my fat wallet. Todd/3leg
