I've got a fine old Rem 742 Woodsmaster and Tikka both in 30-06 and a Rem 700 in 270, all scoped, but I've yet to really use them. I've never killed a deer yet with a scoped rifle but I'm about in need one. May use the Tikka this year?

My Marlin has produced the most but I've had it since 81. My 1971 NRA Centennial is labeled M9d 94 for that purpose, but the same rifle in 72-73 is a Mod 64a. Bill I believe the Lyman is #66. For sure the new ones anyway, but they're aluminum, not near as good as a Williams from what I've heard. But I believe the older steel ones was also #66, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. I considered one long ago for my 336, and my memory may be wrong?

I'm gonna look into getting that book! Ben Lily the bear hunter, killed plenty Grizzly if I'm not mistaken with an Mod 1886 in 33wcf, probably not considered today a suitable round for that, but not sure? But Teddy Roosevelt hired him once to take him bear hunting. Don't remember how that went.

One things obvious about this rifle, contrary to my previous experiences with carbines? All I have is my phone and whenever I put in all my info and hit UD, it goes to it. Sometimes it's very slow and I have to scroll down and then back up and it'll eventually pop up, but it's never failed me provided my phone signal is sufficient.
