WOOOO WHOOOO!!
We got our first killing frost Monday and Tuesday mornings. I mowed the yard for the last time this year, today. The Black Walnut
tree dropped all of its nut crop too. Had to rake them up first and it was a bumper crop this year. I should of known better than to plant that tree in the yard.
Sold my steers in September and took the last two to the slaughterhouse Thursday, so no more calves to take care of until spring.
WOOO WHOO More time for hunting and reloading and shooting! Would also be a good time to get the molds out and start casting.
I haven't cast a bullet in three of four years.

But I did stain 6 new cedar shafts yesterday, put first coat polyurethane on em today, for arrows. I love traditional Archery, making my own arrows!

Yep! Like a bird out of a cage! Here in my neck of the woods we have to mow from March to November, 1 to 2 times a week.Ysabel Kid wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 6:50 pmBill in Oregon wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 5:24 pm Free at last, free at last, thank God I'm free at last!

My Bermuda grass lawn just decided to go to bed in the past few days, so I will have just one more mow or so and then done til spring as well. I'll miss the green though.
