I'm not an LEO and carry my 1911 guns concealed. I use an Uncle Mikes mag pouch with the velcroed flap! Never lost a magazine.

All the terriers seem to be great breeds. I'm one of those people that prefers getting a bitch and having her spayed. Generally, her temperment will work better with mine than a male. Sort of the opposite of the human world... :lol:

I was just watching a History Channel show on man-eating lions and noted that #1 - one fellow used a slightly modified #4 in .303 British to kill a 3 year old man-eater with 2 shots. #2 - somebody used an 1895 Winchester to kill an elephant. Had photos but saw no reference to loads.

I'm also going to take a serious look at 50-70 cases. Only problem is that they are more expensive than 50 AK. A lot of people aren't going to want to mess with long trimming sessions and the 50-70 would solve that. Also, a lot of bullets won't crimp in their designed groove with a 1.88 case though...

I didn't get good results just lubing on the pad so I tried spray lube (forgot I even had the stuff). That was fine for making it go in and out of the die but got lube dents. On the really cheap? I'd look for a beat up earlier Ruger M77 in .308 or .243 and rebarrel. Milsurp actions aren't the cheap options they once were. Other makers' guns seem to ask more on the market, at least around here.

We're on the cusp at the state level due to Dem domination of cities. Local level doesn't matter due to pre-emption. National matters and you might be right, we might be headed down the shredder chute.

I've shot off the Shootin' Stix and they are very nice. I've even made up sticks using fiberglass electric fence poles painted camo and some 550 cord. However, the Harris, while effective, is cumbersome for my guns which are almost all relatively short and light.

Thanks for the bump! What it is is that I could buy a M94 for $180 but it needs the stock and all the iron forward of the receiver. It has the original sights. I had another in my hands Saturday but Carl isn't letting that one go! Carl is a vet of WWII and Korea and a hoot of a collector/accumulator.
