Microgroove + Soft Lead = Magic

I have been trying to find some loads that both my Marlin 1894 FG and my Ruger Blackhawks like. Since my Blackhawks seem to like just about everything I turned my focus to the Marlin. In the past the only load it really liked was a 170 gr Seirra bullet pushed really fast. But I couldn't find a lead ...

Re: OT - Anyone know why Taurus dropped all 22RF rifles?

I had one that repeatedly broke firing pins.
Gave it away.

Maybe they are reworking them.
Maybe the didn't sell well enough.

Re: Accuracy potential of .35 Rem Microgroove

Second Most Accurate Marlin I have owned was a 336C in 35 Remington. I put a Weaver K6 on it and clover-leafed groups at 50 yards week-in and week-out. I never shot it with cast bullets. Gave it to a widow lady and her sons for hunting deer. They haven't gone hungry. I did shoot some regular 357 - 1...

5th August 2008 --- St Pete, Florida All 22 ammo prices at Walmart increased 15% today. Bummer. Should have stocked up last week. I was actually inline to make a purchase, then got a call for help and left. Went back today and the prices were all 15% higher. Manager said better stock up, she expects...

POLITICS - Truman shootin straight

Well...you can't help but long for this kind of honesty in politicians again..... When President Truman retired from office in 1952, his income was substantially a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking the...

Cast Receiver. Nice Casting. Never seen one that wasn't very smooth.
Nice wood.
Marble Sights.
Very responsive customer service.

Barrel is pinned to the receiver. No crown on the barrel.

Some shoot far better than others.

I bought one and GAVE it away.
