I had an S&W Mountain gun, but let a team mate talk me out of it. My replacements are the S&W in .44 Mag and the Rugers in .45 Colt. I currently stay in the mountains where rattlesnakes, javelina, and lions are the bigger threats. But both work well in Alaska when I am at the house up there...

I grew up along the coast in So Cal... the mean average temperature is 70ºF with fairly low humidity... but the temp swings are limited to 30+ degrees for just days at a time... anytime it's really humid is when it's raining. Not sure what to think. I like it better than a " Judge or " Public Defender...Seems kinda fun...There's a wood/metal version too. The REV-41 Tactical. Looks like it's out of Canada and shoots .45 LC also.

I put a Holosun 507C on my 45-70. It's held up great. It has a circle with a dot in the center. With Remington Corelokts zeroed at 100 yards, it hits dead on at 300 holding at the bottom of the large circle. It has a solar panel on top in case batteries run down but they're rated for 5 years!.
