I have a Henry 22 LR and it shoots shorts just fine. At 25 yards they are sorta fun. At 50 yards you can watch the bullet arc to the target.

Just out of curiosity, Can slugs be shot with the normal choke as supplied in place? I have an 870 in 20 ga and bought some slugs but haven't shot them yet. I may have to hunt down one of those rifled chokes for mine if they are made for the 20 ga.

My wife and I went on one back in 2002 or 03, same ship same cruise line. It was a GREAT experience. If you plan ahead and don't try to go whole hog, it can be very reasonable. You need to try reloading. I have been playing around with the Hornady Lever bullets, 140g FTX. They shoot nice with either Lil Gun or H110, but I couldn't get as much velocity as I thought I should at very near max loads. They do shoot nice in the Rossi however, as you stated.
