Rainy day Gunshop visit

Been raining quite a bit in my neck of the woods, and I have been saving for a rainy day. Bought these at my local shop, after the 2 day wait I brought them home last night. A Marlin 30-30 that has the High rise carry handle that will be off by tonight. A Ruger Redhawk 44 mag, and a Winchester Model...

My vote goes for the .300 Whelen. It is a bran new Wildcat I read an article about. It is a 35 Whelen necked down to 30 caliber. Some of you may call it a 30-06!

I am at that age where I am starting to have a bit of difficulty seeing the semi buckhorn sights on my 1951 model 94. I have been thinking whether I should D&T the rifle to put a peep on it, but I am hesitant to do that. I am trying to find a nice Fiber Optic front and rear sight, but I am not s...

This is easy, The .270 Winchester is my pick. I have seen numerous Game Animals run to the next county hit in the boiler room. Sorry, but I am not the least bit impressed with this round. I will stick to the 30's, nothing under.

Very interesting stuff Joe! I am with Hobie somewhat on this as far as a 30-30.
