Thanks Hobie - this was my feeling
Always sort by length after 5 reloads and use the longest groups til they shrink to the next group length down
Consistent case length matters as my strong preference is for crimping with seating die rather than the Lee crimp die

Malcolm Scopes ???
Some time ago, I emailed Hi-Lux Optics about purchasing a Malcolm long scope [M634321] to mount on my Winchester 94 Legacy with a 26"octagonal barrel. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b350/cavebob/38-3.jpg They replied promptly: "You need to order a 18" short Malcolm scope for your w...

OT - but with sidelever
Some time ago I purchased a 2nd hand Feinwerbau [FWB 601] in excellent condition. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b350/cavebob/FWB601.jpg I had no intention of shooting 10M competition - I wanted it for quiet short range practice. As it turns out my aging eyes do not work well with the competition...

O.T. - Outdoor store - Fort Worth
Arrive in Texas from Australia in a few weeks for a driving trip through Arkansas and across to the coast. Seek recommendations for a good camping goods store in Fort Worth.
Thanks

Re: XS Lever Scout Mount
Thanks for the posts I have tang sights on my Marlin .38 CBC and Win Legacy 38.55 and a regular scope on my Marlin 45.70 I would prefer plain old open sights but my eyes are as good as they used to be. I think scout scopes are one of those things that you either love them or you don't. 2ndovc My eye...

XS Lever Scout Mount
Anyone put one of these on a Win 94AE
http://www.xssights.com/store/scope.html
Instructions say you end up with a permanent epoxy fit but I have heard you can get a satisfactory result using a release ugent [as when glass bedding] ???
Thanks

Loading round balls in 45LC
Seem to remember thread on earlier forum about using round balls as bullets in .45LC brass.
Have an economical source of .454 lead balls that would suit my Win Trapper.
Would appreciate any comments...
