Re: BLR bedding question

I don't have a take down so this may not help, but I'll throw this out there for your consideration. Mine will shoot 150gr bullets very similar to what you're experiencing....maybe a hair better. But if I want the best accuracy from my rifle, I shoot 165gr bullets....one ragged hole at 100yds. Just ...

Re: Levers VS The Outdoor Channel

Last night Midway's Gun stories on the Outdoor Channel had a whole show about the Winny 73. But yes, lever gun specific programming is pretty slim.

Re: Well fellers {rant}

Pitchy, I don't often post, but visit here virtually every day.....the folks here are as down to earth as one could ask for. I've always enjoyed the posts, the infomation, the banter(sometimes a bit spicy, same as family can be on occasion) and the general class folks exhibit here at Leverguns. IMO ...

Re: The heart and history of this forum.

It's rare that I post......it's also rare that a day doesn't go by I don't visit here! I've found this forum to consist of the same type of down to earth individuals that in my life (now long gone, may they RIP) taught me to shoot, hunt, fish, and how to embrace the outdoor world that makes these th...

I was brought up hunting in the Woolrich classic black and red pattern, parka and pants with 16" high rubber boots...big enough to layer 2 heavy pair of thick socks underneath. I was also taught that NOTHING was more important then wind direction. Cover scent was hanging your hunting cloths out...

Shooter primarily. Hunter occasionally. Can't stand fishing. I either fidget and scare them all away, or fall asleep and ignore them. Joe LOL!!! sleeping is the best part of fishing:D In fact I've been known to take a snooze while on stand as well! Safely harnessed in of course! :lol: Pete 22

As you can see by my post count I typically don't have much to say. But I have to say that leverguns.com is my favorite place to "lurk", and I do so regularily. Of course the overall knowledge of firearms, not just leverguns, is the main reason for visiting...not a visit to this site goes ...

45-70 is right on.

You get multiple layers of clothing, boots, etc., wet and even the best swimmers quickly tire.......plus we had a big blow kick up this past Sunday. I'm sure that was the main reason for the capsize. My condolences to the families involved...sad.
