The Golden Boy endurance run was 28,000 rounds as fast as I could cycle 'em, spread out among several sessions.
Didn't clean it till 22,000 rounds in.
Didn't clean the barrel at all till after it was over.

I've given Henrys to three younger shooters. The Saturday before Christmas I was invited along on a family outing with two of those kids. One 17 now, one 19 now. Watching them shoot clay pigeons on a berm with their .22s was a lotta fun. I was enjoying that so much with spotting & helping that I...

One thing people need to do is stop regurgitating OLD stories about OLD plastic on the Henrys. Those plastic front sight assemblies were ONLY on the bottom entry-level .22 leverguns, never on the higher-end Golden Boys & other models. And Henry stopped using plastic there 10 years ago. As far as...

I think it was unfortunate that Colt used the Cobra name, it's confusing a lotta people. It's not a bring-back of the original Cobra, not the same frame or action, and it DOES NOT MEAN THERE'S ANY POSSIBILITY OF A PYTHON RE-BIRTH. The Python is dead. A Python II would be counterproductive & not ...

The .30-30 will probably follow.
As for pricing, if I haven't already said it I'll say it now- These are not cheap imports & they're far above the quality levels of the H&Rs.
I would not hold your breath for any interchangeable barrel program.

After conferring with Henry, the consensus is a weakened locking block spring.
Gun's offline till it goes back for an overhaul, but the wear on the block is minor & not a concern.
Another MIM part that's held up very well.

Gun's cleaned & preliminary analysis done. The loose lockup appears to be a combination of the locking bar wear and the spring, and I think the spring's the biggest factor. It's quite weak, and springs do weaken with excessive compressions. Bore looks good, minor wear on the bolt section where t...

In all seriosity, the rifling is strong, neither bore nor chamber appear to be any more fouled at 28,000 than a typical .22 rimfire bore gets after 20 rounds, and I think it'd be a tossup on whether cleaning it would appreciably shrink the groups or not.
