Eh. I know the 45-70 is a great cartridge. The fact that it's been around since 1873 and is still in use says it all. I have or have had Trapdoors, 1886s, 1881 Marlins, and a 1972 style 1895 Marlin. I was thinking of someone who had an 06 barrel. And wanted to replace a trashed 03 barrel. It seems like an 03 chamber reamer could be used to lengthen the chamber. One of the fellows mentioned seeing / having a trashed 03 barrel. If it could be done he could rebarrel it and keep the original caliber.

There comes a time for hospice. But insurance companies/doctors often start pushing it way too early. Why? Because once you are on hospice about all they do is manage pain. They aren't interested in using medications and treatments to improve the quality of life. Why? Hospice is cheaper.

One of the things I would give customers for things like birthdays were functioning mini steam engines. When you deal with engineers, they can appreciate the intricacies of small scale versions of what they work on all day.

Pretty much figure the ISP that hosts the forum has oversold their service. These folks tend to prioritize the larger users over smaller ones. Why, because sites with more visits will get more complaints.

I think it’s hard to beat a Marlin Guide Gun and a big bore Ruger sixgun. I’d probably opt for a 4 inch Redhawk in .45 Colt and I think the ammo choices might be more important than the gun.
