Re: OT: Color Case Hardening is UGLY
I love CCH. Like alot of things with guns sometimes it grows on you and that was the case with me. I would also say that certain guns just look best with certain finishes. My Browning B-92 looks just right with a blued reciever but my Uberti 73 rifle just seems more at home with a case colored recie...

Re: OT: Remington posts $39.4 million loss for 2008
I'm sure the cost of raw materials really hurt them. In general Remington is in decline in terms of popularity.
It seems that everyone I know that is in to semi-auto shotguns wants a Beretta or falls for the Benelli hype and pays $1200 for a SBEII.

Re: Compare Win 92 & 94 in 44mag

My understanding of the story is that Bennet told JMB that sight unseen anything he could get to production in 60 days he would pay him $15,000. If he could get it in 30 days he would give JMB $20,000. JMB...

Re: 73 Winchester in 357
Reminds my of the Python and Model 19 debates that go on about whether or not they will stand up to a lot of magnum use. The Python has the frame strength but many worry about them going out of time. I have a Python and a Uberti 1873 in .357 Magnum. To be honest so far I've pretty much stuck only to...

Any experience with the Charles Daly Little Sharps?
Every since I first heard about the Charles Daly Little Sharps from the Gunblast.com Shot Show 2008 report I've been very interested in hearing more about them. I read Mr. Quinn's review on Gunblast.com(I love Gunblast) of the rifle and have also read a few other reviews about the Little Shaprs in s...
